Dave Rogers in bowls club U-turn

Dave Rogers is back at the helm of Shropshire bowls big guns Chester Road.

Rogers had stepped down from his role at the Whitchurch club after a successful 12-year stint at the helm.

But, after backing from his players, Rogers has now confirmed he has reversed his decision and will continue to lead the club on their quest for double glory.

The Roaders are two points clear at the top of the Furrows Shropshire Premier League while they continue their defence of the County Cup with a semi-final against Hanwood on Saturday.

Two of the bottom three teams do battle in a Premier League clash tonight with Wrockwardine Wood hosting Wem USC.
