The county's under-18s side reinforced an emphatic 252-106 aggregate win on their home green at Donnington Wood by clinching a 218-193 success in the away leg at Orford, Warrington.

They now face Wales in a decisive group game on July 9. Hanmer's Jack Butler earned the home man-of-the-match accolade thanks to a 21-3 victory.

But Phillip Jones secured the biggest winning margin of 21-2 as Shropshire won all 12 games at Donnington.

In Cheshire they produced five winners with Burway's Lewis Rodgers' 21-5 success proving most emphatic.

And Harry Parsonage bowled a 21-7 win to help the visitors to a 26 shots away advantage.

Shropshire selector Steve Roberts said: "Our away squad did a fantastic job while the home boys and girls did very well on a tricky green

"We now meet Wales on July 9 and that is probably going to be the toughest game in the group. It's a 'must-win game' if we are going to progress to the semi-finals."
