Callum Wraight missing for top-two clash
Star man Callum Wraight is missing for Castlefields as the top two in the Salop Lesiure Shropshire Premier League prepare to do battle tomorrow.
Leaders Castlefields host second-placed Meole Brace with six points separating the teams.
Wraight leads the league averages and has also notched up 11 consecutive wins.
But that run will come to an end with the Shropshire ace away at the Isle of Man festival.
For Castlefields, it is the second of their run of three straight home matches that could help them open up a lead at the top.
With the top two facing each other, third-placed Sir John Bayley will look to cash in at home to Bowring. Vice-skipper Rob Burroughs said: “Castlefields have a tricky game with Meole and it’s up to us to take advantage of that.
“With two home games to come now we know we need to bang in two good wins to keep with them at the top.”
Bottom club Byley will look to make up ground in their home game against Hanmer, while Chester Road can drag Wem USC back into the relegation scrap with a good home success.
Ifton are 12th and face a difficult-looking trip to a Newport side who have run into form over the last few weeks.
Seventh-placed St Georges have picked up some good results of late and they can look to overhaul fifth-placed Hanwood, who have yet to win away, when the two sides meet in Telford.
Wrockwardine Wood enjoyed an excellent away win last week and will look to build on that when they host Burway.
