Shropshire boxer Kieron Gray has missed out on the biggest bout of his career.
The Telford puncher was due to take on middleweight Chris Eubank Junior in Somerset on Saturday night.
But broadcasters Channel Five are seeking an opponent with an unbeaten record for Eubank Jnr's latest test after he launched his professional career with four successive victories.
"I'm absolutely gutted," said Gray, who has won five of his 14 fights in the paid ranks. "It wasn't a title fight but it was the biggest named fighter I would have faced."
Eubank Jnr, son of the former world champion of the same name, is rated as a potential star of the future.
