The England Under-19 batsman is one of three fresh faces in the line up as last year's beaten finalists start their bid for glory.

The line up for Krikken's first match in charge contains several of last year's successful squad, but also includes new professional Gurman Randhawa and Shifnal's left-arm seamer Jack Edwards.

Slow left-arm spinner Randhawa, 21, has made the move to Shropshire following his release by his native Yorkshire.

The former England Under-19s international Randhawa's arrival will maintain the close historical cricketing tie-up with Yorkshire.

Last season, Shropshire took former Yorkshire fast bowler Ben Sanderson, whose haul of 20 wickets in four Minor Counties Championship matches took them close to the Western Division title after winning their first four matches.

Ex-Shifnal batsman Richard Oliver leads the side .

Team: Richard Oliver (Reigate Priory), Omar Ali (Whitchurch), Joe Clarke (Oswestry), Tom Cox (Shrewsbury), Jack Edwards (Shifnal), Ed Foster (Shrewsbury), Rob Foster (Shrewsbury), Elliot Green (Shrewsbury), Anthony Parker (Shrewsbury), Gurman Randhawa (Ossett), Ben Sanderson (Rotherham Town), 12th Man Simon Gregory (Shifnal).
