Captain leads the way for Grove's first win
Skipper Jon Harris led from the front as Wroxeter Grove claimed their opening Shropshire League Premier Division win of the season.
Off-spinner Harris finished with terrific figures of 7-44 to help dismiss Reman Services for 173 and clinch a 24-run victory.
And Harris insists his side's displays in the first three games had indicated a first victory was not far away.
"We have competed in all the games we have played so far," said Harris.
"In the first three games we have had a little spell where we have lost our focus and let the game get away from us a little bit.
"My aim at the start of the season was to keep us in each game for longer and if we do that I'll be happy.
"It's a tough league, every week you are up against good players. But if we can maintain our intensity and focus then we can be a match for anybody on our day.
"From a personal perspective I think I have bowled really well this year and made the batsmen make mistakes.
"We have a good group of bowlers who don't get down if they are hit over the boundary and keep going.
"We played some good cricket against a good side and we have got one or two players to come in as well who will make us stronger."
Delighted skipper Ben Byram hailed St Georges' seven-wicket success over Wem as their best result of the campaign so far.
The table-toppers emerged comfortable winners against a side who started the game two places below. But Byram admitted some honest words were needed after a poor start.
"Winning the toss and electing to bowl didn't initially go to plan," admitted Byram.
"At drinks it was a good chance to gather all the lads together and ask them to show a bit of character and the levels that we had played at all season.
"We went back out there and showed how we can play, I couldn't have asked for more. I thought 240-250 was going to be par as it seemed a decent batting wicket and the outfield was quick, so I was happy to bowl them out for 207."
Quatt caused one of the biggest upsets of the weekend with a four-wicket win over high-flying Ludlow.
Craig Jones did most of the damage with the ball, ripping through the Ludlow batting line-up to finish with 6-44. Hayden Cargo also chipped in with three wickets.
Quatt lost both openers cheaply in reply, but 56 from Terry Hughes put his side in a strong position as Jones, Alex Biddle and Craig Harris all chipped in.
Broseley are up to second in the table courtesy of a five-wicket success at Bomere Heath. Neill Jordan claimed 6-43 as the home side were skittled for 166, Llyr Thomas top-scoring with 84.
Jordan then added 68 with the bat in a man-of-the-match performance.
Joe Yapp hit an unbeaten 95 for Cound but ended up on the losing side as they went down to Frankton by six wickets.
Joe Watson hit a magnificent 141 not out from 139 balls in Newport's imposing 293-2 against Madeley. But they fell just short of forcing the victory as the hosts finished on 190-8.
