Shropshire break their duck as Sando stars

The Cats won the contest – their first victory of the year – by an innings and 150 runs.

Sanderson claimed five wickets to go with the six he took in Cheshire's first innings, as the visitors were bowled out for 108 second time around at Whitchurch.

Ross Aucott and Tom Weston had earlier shared in county record 177-run eighth wicket stand as Shropshire declared on 358-9, responding to Cheshire's first innings score of 100.

Weston top scored with 105, while Aucott was run out nine short of his century.
