Warrick Fynn shines with the ball for Oswestry
Oswestry continue to blaze a trail at the top of the Division Two table after reeling off their eighth victory in nine games.
Pershore were the latest side to be swept aside by the Morda Road men.
And once again Warrick Fynn played a star role for Oswestry – but this time with the ball.
Fynn fell for 29 – the first time he has failed to pass 50 in the league this season – but skipper Robbie Clarke stepped up to the plate with a fine 84, while Dean Suter made 37 to help the visitors post 215-7.
But that total proved well beyond Pershore thanks mainly to Fynn’s left-arm spin. He took 5-27 from 14 overs while fellow left-armer Mark Robinson snapped up 3-36 as Pershore crumbled to 120 all out.
The victory leaves Oswestry 43 points clear of second-placed Fordhouses.
Division Three promotion hopefuls Newport battled their way to a dramatic one-wicket success against Streetly.
Mark Downes shone with the ball for Newport, claiming 6-52 as Streetly were shot out for 101. Shabbir Khan provided support with 3-24.
Newport then slumped to 83-9 as Sagar Mangalorkar picked up 7-45. But Tom Newnes (33 not out) and Nick Watkins then put on 20 runs to see Newport home.
Sentinel came out on the wrong side of a tense clash with Stourbridge.
Jamie Wear hit 40 and Joe Yapp 38 as Sentinel were dismissed for 135.
Sentinel looked favourites when they reduced the home side to 90-8 and 121-9 with David Laird picking up 4-53.
But an unbeaten 32 from Jitesh Jivan-Patel edged Stourbridge over the line.
