The Morda Road men maintained their terrific start by clinching an eighth win when sweeping aside Pershore by 95 runs last weekend – a victory that took them 43 points clear at the summit.

The only points they have dropped this season came when their last home clash against Coventry and North Warwickshire was washed out without a ball being bowled. Confidence is sky high in the Oswestry camp, and the league leaders will want to continue their winning ways against second-placed Fordhouses.

“Saturday is going to be a huge game, and hopefully we’ll get a good crowd to watch it,” said captain Robbie Clarke, who has batsman Alun Morris back in contention.

“A win would be massive, but we know we’ve got to keep working hard. Fordhouses didn’t pick up a point last week, but they are a decent team and we’re expecting a tough game.”
