Green was among the scorers for the vital group clash at Bristol. And she was kept busy as both sides piled on the runs but England claimed a 68-run victory.

Green served on the Shrewsbury committee for 20 years from the age of 16 before taking a break to concentrate on a three-year spell as treasurer of Shropshire County Cricket Club.

She took on the role of chairman in January when Richard Chapman stood down.
