Injury ends Wellington Amateurs' match

Wellington Amateurs' game at Lye Town in the West Midlands League Premier Division last night was abandoned after Lee Scott suffered a broken leg.

The match was just 17 minutes old when the Ams midfielder was hurt, forcing a long delay as an ambulance was called and he was taken to a local hospital.

The referee was given little choice but to call time on the fixture, which will be replayed at a later date.

The former Stafford Rangers player, 26, arrived at the Wickes Stadium in January for a second spell at the club.
