Ellesmere Rangers still chasing glory
Ellesmere Rangers' fledglings could only watch as the Staffordshire FA Midweek Floodlit Youth Cup final was played without them last night.

Newcastle Town took their place in the trophy decider and beat Wolverhampton Casuals 2-1, after Ellesmere were thrown out of the competition.
The Meresiders defeated Newcastle 2-1 in the semi-final, but were penalised for fielding two ineligible players. Rule 12-3 was invoked after Scott Ryan and Matt Jones joined on non-contract terms from Shrewsbury Town.
But Ellesmerestill have a chance of lifting some youth silverware when they contest the Midland Floodlit Youth League Cup final against Hednesford.
