Former AFC Telford midfielder Elliott Durrell features on Jamie Vardy Sky documentary
Former AFC Telford and Wrexham midfielder Elliott Durrell has featured on Sky as part of Jamie Vardy's V9 Academy.
The 27-year-old, now playing for Macclesfield Town, is renowned for scoring memorable goals through his career so far and is aiming to follow in Vardy's footsteps from Non-League.
The V9 Academy is currently featuring in a six-part series on Sky, offering a behind the scenes look at the residential course, which takes place at Manchester City's Etihad complex.
Vardy famously played for Stocksbridge Park Steels, FC Halifax Town and Fleetwood Town before making his name with Leicester City - winning the Premier League in 2016.
But even the striker would be hard-pressed to score goals with the flair of some of Durell's best efforts - who most notably scored off the kick-off when playing at Hednesford Town, beating half of the opposing players in the process.

That strike is one of just a few memorable goals, with the winger also scoring from the halfway line for Chester as well as smashing home an unstoppable volley for the side in August 2016 too.
Durrell believes the opportunity of taking part in the V9 Academy was a 'no-brainer':
"When I realised how big it’s going to be, it was a no brainer," he said, via the Non League Paper.
“The window of opportunity is going to be great. Every so often a little window opens for you. The right people are going to be there watching and that’s what you need.

“Sometimes you can be in the right place but the right person doesn’t see you. Hopefully that’s what this can be. Then, after that, it’s down to me to perform.”
'The Next Jamie Vardy' began airing on Sky from September 16th, with the final part of the series live on Sky1 from 11.30am on Saturday October 21st.
