The Big Kick-Off: West Brom's key players
Lewis Cox looks at some of the potential key players for West Brom this season.
Alex Palmer
Last season was Palmer’s long-awaited breakthrough in blue and white – and he grasped it. The academy graduate shot-stopper, 26, finally won his place from David Button last October and scarcely put a foot wrong afterwards. Palmer managed 10 clean sheets in 23 appearances, only three – at play-off finalists Coventry and automatic promotion winners Burnley and Sheffield United achieved a better percentage. There is optimism and encouragement for what he could achieve as a No.1 across a full season. Palmer didn’t show any glaring weaknesses in his game.
