The 46-year-old former The New Saints midfielder and manager, was only appointed back in January after Chris Hughes' ten year reign at the Robins came to an end.
Ruscoe helped turn around a tough run of form to qualify for the Europa Conference League play-offs, before his side were trashed by Penybont in the semi-finals.
This season the Robins won four of their first seven league games, but have been on the slide since and have won just one of their last nine games in all competitions - picking up five points from a possible 24 available in the league.
And now with the club sitting ninth in the Cymru Premier - the club have made the decision to part ways with Ruscoe.
Former assistant manager and academy manager Callum McKenzie has been placed in temporary charge.
In statement, the club said: "Newtown AFC can confirm that first team manager Scott Ruscoe has left the club with immediate effect.
"Callum McKenzie will take interim charge of first team affairs.
"We would like to thank Scott for all his hard work and dedication during his time with our club, and wish him all the very best in the future."
His time in the dugout at Latham Park was Ruscoe's second stint at the club, having joined from Stoke City.
He went on to have an illustrious career at TNS, before going on to win two Cymru Premier titles, a League Cup and a Welsh Cup with a club.
His sacking has come just months after Hughes was dismissed following one of the most successful eras in the club's history.
The Robins have notoriously been a club where managers were afforded longevity. Since 1992 and the formation of the old League of Wales set-up, only Brian Coyne, Andy Cale, Darren Ryan on two occasions, Roger Preece, Bernie McNally and Hughes in charge between 1992 and 2024.
However, they are now on the lookout for their third manager in less than 12 months.
