Record-breaking AFC Telford United striker Andy Brown is staying on loan at Nuneaton Town for a second month - but his parent club now has a 24-hour recall option.

Brown has scored once in four appearances since linking up with the Blue Square Bet North club last month.

His 56 goals for the Bucks is a club record but he does not feature in boss Andy Sinton's plans as Telford fight to stay in the top flight of non-League football.

"We have agreed to extend the loan for another month but we have got a 24-hour recall now," Sinton confirmed.

"You cannot do that in the first month of a short-term loan but we have been able to add it in now and we could get him back at any time if we needed him.

"He's getting games there and we will keep an eye on him."

Sinton is upping his efforts to fix up at least one friendly over the next week.

Three new signings – wingers Jonathan Brown and David McDermott and striker Ryan Brooke – have not had the chance to play since their arrival.

And several more players are short of match fitness due to the recent cold snap.
