Striker Adam Proudlock has been offered fresh terms by boss Andy Sinton as AFC Telford United continue to build for their second season in the Blue Square Bet Premier.
The former Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday forward man spent much of last season on the sidelines after suffering a broken ankle in November.
But the 31-year-old has been given the chance to extend his stay at the New Bucks Head into a third season.
"We have made a revised offer to Adam and he is thinking it through," said Sinton. "I've not spoken to Adam since Friday because he has had a family bereavement, so we will wait and see what happens on that."
Sinton wrapped up his first signing of the summer at the weekend after luring Luke Hubbins from Birmingham on a 12-month deal with the option of a further year.
He is also keeping close tabs on Ryan Brooke and Kyle Perry, who ended the season on loan at Telford before being subsequently released by parent clubs Oldham and Lincoln, as well as Jon Brown who was at the Bucks on a temporary move from Southport.
But Sinton admitted he may have to be patient in his quest to further strengthen.
"There is nothing really imminent," said Sinton.
"We have had four or five positive meetings but some players are away on holiday and, in some cases, clubs haven't done their retained list yet.
"If the right player comes up we will try and act but there is no way we are going to panic and dive in."
Sinton is delighted that former TNS boss Mike Davies has agreed to stay as his assistant.
