Ashley Cain on brink of Romania move

Former AFC Telford United winger Ashley Cain is on the brink of signing for a top-flight Romanian league club.

Cain, who was released by the Bucks at the end of last season, is on trial with CS Gaz Metan Medias.

The 21-year-old, who made 23 appearances for Andy Sinton's side last term, has joined the Romanian outfit on their pre-season tour of Hungary and hopes to complete a deal in the next seven days.

The former Coventry wideman scored in a friendly for Gaz Metan last night and tweeted: "Flying out to Hungry tomorrow for pre-season tour for 18 days."
