AFC Telford complete double striker swoop
AFC Telford United manager Graham Hyde has completed a double swoop for strikers Aaron Williams and Marco Adaggio.
Walsall teenager Williams boasts League One experience and arrives at the New Bucks Head for an initial one-month loan.
Adaggio, who has been turning out for Ellesmere Rangers in the Midland Alliance, has been offered non-contract terms.
Jake Reid has shouldered most of the attacking burden for the goal-shy Bucks in recent months, but new boss Hyde believes the new arrivals will stiffen competition for places up front.
He said: "Aaron has played in the first team at Walsall this season. He's a young player I have looked at over a few games so we'll see what he can do for us at this level.
"We're a little bit short up front and Jake has been playing up there on his own. He needs a bit of help and bringing these lads in should help.
"Marco has scored goals in the Conference North. He has been training with us over the last seven or eight weeks and I think it makes sense to sign him up."
West Bromwich-born Williams, 19, has come through the ranks at the Banks's Stadium, scoring 22 goals for Walsall's youth team last season.
He has previously been on loan at Redditch and more recently Romulus after graduating to Dean Smith's first-team squad this term.
He made his debut against Oldham last August, one of eight appearances he has made off the bench for the Saddlers.
Adaggio, 25, started off as a trainee at hometown Shrewsbury, for whom he made 11 appearances. He was once on loan at Telford and can count stints with Bangor City, Stafford Rangers and Worcester City on his CV.
Meanwhile, Kris Taylor could leave the club on loan after Hyde confirmed Hednesford Town's interest in the the former Walsall and Port Vale full-back.
Taylor has lost his place in the starting line-up under former Bucks boss Mark Cooper. Hyde said: "There's been an enquiry from Hednesford and talks are ongoing.
"It's a case of seeing if we can let certain players who may only be sitting on the bench go out on loan."
Striker Steve Jones, who suffered an eye injury in last Saturday's defeat at Mansfield, could train on Thursday.
