Liam Watson confident break will end AFC Telford virus
AFC Telford boss Liam Watson is hoping a four-day break will rid his squad of the virus that has hit his players in recent weeks.
Right-back Wes Baynes and striker Tony Gray have both missed games because of the bug.
Captain Simon Grand and winger Mike Phenix have also been affected and Watson hopes the chance to isolate his personnel for a few days will do the trick.
It's the longest period away from each other the players will have had since the Skrill North season began, with them signing off after training last night.
After two tough sessions this week, the players will regroup and be put through their paces in a specially-arranged friendly at Skrill Premier side Chester on Tuesday night.
Watson said: "Hopefully the players will be fit and refreshed and the four days away from each other will get the virus out of the camp completely.
"That's something I am conscious of getting sorted."
Watson used his friendship with Chester boss Neil Young to arrange the fixture, as the Bucks face a two-week period without a match due to the club being knocked out of the FA Cup.
