AFC Telford squad join club's Supporters Trust
AFC Telford United's Supporters Trust today swelled in numbers as more signed up for the cause – namely manager Liam Watson and his squad of players.
The Bucks management and playing staff signed on the dotted line at training, as the Supporters Trust were conducting their annual general meeting last night.
The united front at the New Bucks Head will be further rammed home tomorrow afternoon, when the players don trust t-shirts during their pre-match warm up.
Watson was keen for his team to show their support and community coaching officer Luke Shelley saw them put to pen to paper - and will collect their membership fees.
All will now take in tomorrow's home Skrill Conference North game against Stalybridge Celtic, as the challenge for an instant return to the Premier continues at pace.
Managing director Lee Carter said: "Last season, for a club that prides itself on having a lion heart, we ended up with a bunch of people that had nothing more than mouse hearts.
"Liam Watson is passionate about this football club and it's a pleasure to have a bunch of players that want to be here for the right reasons.
"They want to achieve things and all of them signing up is a great demonstration that they want to play a bigger part in what we are doing here."
