AFC Telford's Mike Phenix latest hit by flu
AFC Telford United still have a flu bug sweeping through their camp with winger Mike Phenix the latest to be laid low through illness.
Midfielder Russell Benjamin has still not fully recovered, with both he and Phenix excused from training on Tuesday for feeling unwell.
Right-back Wes Baynes and wide man Robbie Booth have both suffered from the same problem recently, but are now back to match fitness.
Baynes didn't even miss any game time, playing the full 90 minutes of last weekend's 3-2 Skrill Conference North win at home to Histon.
Phenix started in that fixture, too, but he could have to be replaced for Saturday's first-ever game against Oxford City at the New Bucks Head.
Manager Liam Watson said: "Russell is still not 100 per cent and Mike Phenix is not well, everyone seems to be getting this bug just lately.
"They are probably passing it on to each other and there's no point in bringing those two down to training if they are both still ill.
"All we can do is see how they are for Saturday and take it from there. It's just one of those things."
The Bucks will face a City side with their tails up, after their hopes of survival were given a shot in the arm with Tuesday's win over Histon.
Oxford's 2-1 success over the visiting Stutes got them three points at the 10th attempt, but Watson's side could go back top if they beat them.
Both sides are likely to go for the kill in Shropshire and the Telford boss insists that if his side play to their best, there's only one outcome.
He said: "Oxford performed well at Boston on Saturday and now they have beaten Histon, so it seems like we are going to face a similar test.
"It's not going to be easy and we have got to treat everybody with respect, we know all nine games left are going to be tough for us.
"We have got to win and we will certainly be doing our utmost to put our stamp on the game. If we do that, it should be enough.
"We have just got to be on it, that's all, so that means we need to impose ourselves on them as soon as possible.
"I don't think you need to look at where teams are in the league, you just have to deal with what is in front of you."
