Alongside the annual home game against newly-promoted Wolves, the Bucks will also play host to Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough.

A first-team Rovers squad is expected to travel, when Gary Bowyer's Ewood Park outfit make the trip to Shropshire on Saturday July 12.

It's the first time former Premier League champions have visited the New Bucks Head, in what is regarded as a tasty fixture to open summer.

Wolves are in town 10 days later for a Tuesday night fixture, while Boro visit that Saturday after agreeing to make the trek down from Teeside.

Telford club director Dave Topping said: "We could really attract good crowds for this and it's great to bring such great clubs to the Bucks Head.

"For every team we play in pre-season, there's always a reason for it and a contact made from somewhere, but this is a very strong fixture list.

"Our manager, Liam Watson, is always out and about and he meets a lot of people in football on his travels. He operates on a very wide spectrum."

The only lower-league club Telford are at home to in pre-season is Evo-Stik Northern Premier League side FC United of Manchester, on Saturday August 2.

The off-shoot of Manchester United will bring a large following, in what's expected to be a bumper gate between two well-supported and fan-owned clubs.

Telford will also travel to Welsh Premier League side Bala Town, Witton Albion, Shawbury United, Nantwich Town and Stafford Rangers.

This year's Shropshire Senior Cup has been re-formatted. Holders Telford must play Market Drayton Town at Greenfields before October 31.
