Disney-land for John with AFC Telford move
AFC Telford United today signed former Hednesford Town full-back John Disney until the end of the Conference Premier season.
Disney, who was released by league rivals Chester City yesterday, has become manager Steve Kittrick's fourth signing.
The 22-year-old signed for Chester in the summer, after several impressive seasons at Keys Park persuaded the Cheshire club to pay a fee.
Disney will take the squad number 23 at the New Bucks Head and follows fellow full-backs Kyle Dixon and Ben McLaughlin and midfielder Jack Rea in signing for Kittrick.
Meanwhile, the club have appointed a new physiotherapist, with Lauren Dickins coming in to replace Chris Roberts.
Dickins, from Whitchurch, joins from Welsh Premier League champions the New Saints, where she has been the head of sports therapy for the youth and ladies team.
She has previously spent time at Newcastle Town and Market Drayton and has played ladies football for Whitchurch Alport and Prees.
She works outside of the game as a mobility and exercise therapist, graduating with honours at Staffordshire University after attaining a BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Health Science.
