Johnny Gorman is out as wait goes on for defenders
AFC Telford winger Johnny Gorman is set to miss tonight's friendly at Rhyl – as the club was forced to extend its waiting game on their centre-half saga.
Gorman is suffering with tight hamstrings and sits out the trip to north Wales this evening (7.30pm).
Boss Steve Kittrick said: "I think it's just a precaution so we don't make it any worse than it is because it's all about getting ready for the first game."
Cheltenham centre-back Jack Deaman won't feature this evening as he is having a game with a full-time Conference outfit this weekend.
Kittrick has agreed a loan with the Robins but the centre-back wants to play at a higher level. "He's going to play somewhere else tomorrow to try to get full-time football," said the boss.
"They're a full-time Conference side and they're on about taking him on loan. "But he's promised to let me know over the weekend."
Telford are also waiting on their other current centre-back target, Pablo Mills.
"We've made him an offer but deciding to play part-time after 10 years or so in the full-time game is difficult for him and I understand that," said Kittrick. "Hopefully we'll find out in the next 24 hours."
