Telford welcomed the team in the league with best away form to the New Bucks Head in a game of both passions and heated exchanges.

The Bucks went down a goal inside the first five minutes but battled back quickly to equalise through John Cofie.

The game soon heated up as the half continued and things started to boil over.

John Cofie went down off the ball for a knock which lead to a coming together of both sides on the edge of the pitch.

Lucas Dawson got the stadium rocking not long after with a fierce long range strike that cannoned off the cross bar but the visitors quickly reclaimed the lead.

Danny Lloyd finished off a smart counter attacking move with a goal from a tight angle. Telford couldn't find an answer to get back in the game in the second half, where the intensity continued.

AFC Fylde took an early lead on five minutes with the first chance of the game courtesy of Danny Rowe.

Rowe was played through on goal down the right wing by Sam Finley, who ran onto the edge of the box, before cutting back on his marker and firing a powerful shot into the top left corner.

That goal didn't dampen Telford's spirits, however, who stepped up a gear and was soon level after John Cofie headed in a corner.

The Bucks initially were awarded a free kick in a dangerous spot on the left side of the box, and it skimmed off a Fylde player for a corner.

Cofie then rose up high to meet the corner kick and directed the ball calmly into the left side of the goal.

The game became ever more heated as it went along, with Cofie going down from a knock off the ball, which sparked a tussle between both teams.

Lucas Dawson then got the stadium on its feet with a fine strike on the edge of the box after being teed up by Hibbert, but his thunderous drive cannoned off the cross bar which was left shaking.

The visitors reacted quickly however and took the lead again through Danny Lloyd after a counter attack down the left wing.

Lloyd played a onetwo pass with Hughes, who found acres of space in the box, before his low strike on a tight angle hit off the right post and in.

The second half remained just as spirited as the first, and the referee was waving away penalty shouts within the next opening 10 minutes, as Hibbert went down in the box.

The big front man then nearly scored a spectacular effort minutes later. He turned on his marker before firing a looping effort on goal which came crashing off the left post.

Clancy collected the rebound but fell down in the box, and the referee once again waved away penalty calls.

The score line remained the same for the rest of the game which was on a knife edge as both sides showed a spirited performance.

The loss leaves Telford at the bottom of the National League North table.
