The left-footed former Fleetwood Town man was former boss Liam Watson's first signing and has been a popular figure at the New Bucks Head.
He has featured in the centre on midfield, on the left wing and at left-back at times under Rob Smith this season.
Clancy made more than 130 appearances for the Bucks and is the club's longest-serving player, along with being the head of youth development.
The Liverpool-born star also played a significant part in developments off the pitch in his time with the club, assisting with the youngsters at the club.
He becomes the eighth player to leave Rob Smith's side this summer after Jordan Wynter, Kyle Brownhill, Josh Brizell, Johnny Gorman, Greg Wilkinson, Reece Simpson and Jordan Goddard all left.
