Dan Preston eager to prove himself at AFC Telford
Dan Preston is confident he can force his way back into the AFC Telford side after returning to the club.
Centre-half Preston is back after a 28-day spell at Sutton Coldfield Town in a bid to build up his match sharpness.
Boss Rob Smith is well stocked at the back with Luca Havern, Ben Bailey and Paul McCone also competing for places in the heart of the defence.
But Preston, who joined the Bucks for a second spell over the summer from National League North rivals Tamworth, believes he can force his way in.
"I went out to get some games but I'm glad to be back at Telford now," said the tough-tackling defender, who was a regular in the early stages of the season.
"There's four of us and I was at the back of the queue so it was good for me to go and get some games, and Rob and Larry were supportive of that.
"I got some games under my belt and got what I wanted to out of it.
"There's a lot of competition at Telford but I'm confident that when I get my chance I will take it and stay in the team."
