AFC Telford United bidding to seal deals before deadline
Assistant boss Larry Chambers is hoping AFC Telford United can get a couple of deals done before tomorrow’s transfer deadline.
National League North clubs have until 5pm tomorrow to register players and the Bucks are looking to get ‘one or two’ over the line before then, including extending Shrewsbury Town goalkeeper Callum Burton’s loan until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old from Newport has played Telford’s last five league games during a one-month loan spell, keeping one clean sheet.
“We are looking at bringing one or two in if possible,” said Chambers.
“It is one or two, we are definitely looking to get something done if we can before the deadline – we are in contact with clubs as we speak so we’ll see what happens.”
Meanwhile, Telford are due to assess both Jack Rea and Dave Hibbert after the pair picked up knocks during last weekend’s 3-1 loss to Bradford Park Avenue.
