Rob Smith: Three minutes of madness killed Telford
AFC Telford United boss Rob Smith feels, other than 'three minutes of madness', that his side performed well in the 2-1 loss at Brackley Town.
The Bucks fell to their fourth straight loss at St James Park, leaving them just three points above the National League North drop zone.
Lee Ndlovu capitalised on a defensive error to put the hosts ahead in the 41st minute. Then before the interval, Telford gave away a penalty, which was saved but finished by Shane Byrne on the rebound.
The Bucks pulled one back through Joel Dielna's deflected free-kick, but now they must themselves down for a huge game against Stalybridge Celtic on Tuesday.
"It is three minutes of madness. The other 87, I thought we played really well," said Smith.
""The penalty decision was an absolute disgrace. Even their lad is laughing, Paul McCone's got the ball. I could see it from where I was.
"The disappointing thing for me is we never followed it up after the lad saved it."
He added: "We have to take the positives from that. I thought it was a really strong performance from us, to be honest.
