The Bucks closed out a disappointing National League North campaign with a 0-0 draw at home against Harrogate Town.

The result saw them end the season 17th in the table, having picked up 42 points from as many games.

Summing up the game, and the season, Smith said: "I don't think you would want to buy a copy of the DVD, would you?

"It was an end-of-season game, the pitch was awkward. I don't think either side deserved to win the game, 0-0 was probably a fair result.

"We put enough effort in and Harrogate are probably the side with the second-biggest budget in the league. Where they any better than us? I don't think so."

"That's the story of the season, we can match teams like that but we have been the nearly-men."

He added: "It wasn't a great game, the best thing for me was when the final whistle went. It's been a frustrating season, in so many ways."
