AFC Telford let Connor McCarthy go
AFC Telford United have confirmed Connor McCarthy has not been offered a new deal and has left the club.
The 22-year-old Liverpudlian, a popular figure among the Bucks faithful, scored two goals in 20 National League North appearances last season.
He also had a one-month loan spell at Evo-Stik Premier side Warrington Town in the second half of the campaign.
After shining in two loan spells from Southport, McCarthy was snapped up on a permanent basis last September but, despite a fantastic work rate and commitment to the cause, did not cement his place in the side.
The forward joins Danny Reynolds, Dave Hibbert and Joel Dielna in leaving Telford as boss Rob Smith looks to rebuild his squad.
