AFC Telford reject share offer

AFC Telford United have rejected an offer from a Irish consortium to purchase 51 per cent of the club.

The Bucks met with the potential investors but after carrying out due diligence decided not to take up the offer.

Telford have 65 per cent of shares in the club available to purchase after two rounds of share offers sold 35 per cent.

Football agent, Lee Marsh is working with the consortium involved in the bid.

The Shropshire Star understands the bidders are 'very serious' about their offer having identified the Bucks as a potential Football League club.

Despite the initial rejection of the offer. The consortium, led by Anthony McMullen remain keen for talks to continue.
