Boss Rob Edwards sat down with the attacker after Tuesday's 5-0 rout at Wolverhampton Sporting Community, where he netted twice.

The powerful front man, who came through the ranks at Mansfield Town, has featured in all four of the Bucks' pre-season clashes so far and scored three times.

The 20-year-old had loan spells to Mickleover Sports and Carlton Town while with his former club. He was released by The Stags in 2016 and represented Ilkeston, Stafford Rangers and Matlock last term.

"He's done well as have a number of them," said Telford boss Edwards.

"I think in all four of the games he's contributed positively and he's someone we're now going to have a conversation with and we'll see what that leads to."

As Edwards has gone about shaping his squad, a handful of trialists have been ever-present throughout the four fixtures to date.

Dwyer has been joined by former Liverpool youngster and Chester midfielder Will Marsh. Wrexham-born winger Jordan Evans, formerly of Fulham, has also been heavily involved.

Sheridan Martinez has acted as back-up to Jaz Singh between the sticks, with Edwards keen to have two goalkeepers on board.

Another familiar face is Wolves youngster Aaron Hayden. The centre-half signed a fresh one-year deal at Molineux this summer with option of another season.

While a 'Telford XI' will tackle TNS in the Shropshire Senior Cup tonight, those individuals will have a final opportunity against Hereford on Saturday to win a place in Edwards' thoughts.

"We're getting there now," the boss added. "I've spoken with a few of the lads and after Saturday we can be in a position to put people either out of their misery or be able to say 'let's do it'.

"At least everyone's had that opportunity in a number of games and training sessions. They've all put a case forward."

The manager also admitted there was a possibility of more new faces being drafted into his squad before the opening day trip to York City on August 5.

"In this job what I'm learning quite quickly is that there's hundreds of calls about players every week. I think it'll go mad again when League clubs make their decisions. We're always in the market – it would be stupid not to look all the time when you can recruit all year."
