Jack Rea hoping to be fit for AFC Telford's trip to Curzon Ashton
Jack Rea feels he 'should be OK' for AFC Telford United's trip to Curzon Ashton tonight despite limping off at the weekend.
The former Bucks skipper went off in the 75th minute of the 2-0 defeat to Salford City after pulling up with a hamstring problem.
He also missed last Tuesday's 3-1 loss to Brackley Town due to a knee knock.
Rea said: "I should be OK. I hope so. It's a quick turnaround but I'll do as much as I can to recover.
"At first I thought it was my knee, when I first got injured.
"Then, I have spoke to the physio, and its actually my hamstring – where it attaches to the bone in my leg.
"It was one of them where I got through the game and as I've had to do a long sprint down the side, I just felt like I couldn't get a full sprint in.
"I spoke to the manager and just said 'I can't sprint fully on it, we needed some fresh legs on the pitch' so he changed it."
Telford are looking to get back to winning ways at the Tameside Stadium, after two straight National League North defeats.
Rea added: "They try to play a lot which, if you don't get that press right, they can do well.
"If we get that press right, it should give us opportunities to get at them and play our football.
"Hopefully we can create some chances for the front men who have working hard."
