The Bucks desperately struggled for goals last season, netting just 38 times in 42 National League North games, but now appear to have a potent frontline.

Marcus Dinanga and Anthony Dwyer have scored four each while Murphy, making his second appearance, came off the bench to seal a much-welcome 3-2 home victory against Stockport County on Tuesday.

"It is great, especially for a striker to get off the mark early," Edwards said

"We put him on and a few of the fans were probably thinking why we were taking Dwyer off.

"I just thought Anthony looked a little tired, he had run himself into the ground for us.

"It is great that Jordan then pops up with the winner, thoroughly deserved."

Dinanga, aged 20, who is on a season-long youth loan from Burton Albion, and Dwyer, 20, had a spell playing together at Matlock Town last campaign and have been in fine form for Telford.

Murphy, 21, is formerly of Walsall and impressed for Worcester City in the division last season.

The Bucks also have Matthew Barnes-Homer, who struck in the 1-0 win at York City on the opening day but has recently been nursing a hamstring injury.

Dinanga scored on Tuesday night, and Edwards said: "That was the best he has been.

"He was a little frustrated coming off early (in the 5-1 loss to Harrogate Town) on Saturday and we had a little bit of a chat, showed him a few bits.

"What a reaction. I am delighted for him as he got his goal as well and strikers always want to score.

"His work rate, his performance, his all-round game was brilliant."

Dinanga scored 34 goals at Matlock last season and is looking to match that for Telford while Dwyer has set himself a target of 25.

Murphy will be looking to better his record last term of seven league goals and Barnes-Homer will look to kick on once he is back fit.

On Dinanga's potential, Edwards added: "Let's not get carried away. He needs to do it now consistently.

"He has shown what he is capable of and so have a lot of other players in that dressing room.

"They have to maintain that now, and that's what good players to do."
