Former Wolves duo Joleon Lescott and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake put in the hours with AFC Telford
Former Wolves stars Joleon Lescott and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake have recently trained with AFC Telford United, boss Rob Edwards has revealed.
Ex-England international Lescott, aged 35, and one-time Manchester United youth product Ebanks-Blake, 31, are currently free agents.
Lescott – who has also had spells at Everton, Manchester City, West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa – was released by Sunderland at the end of last season.
Ebanks-Blake, a fan favourite during his time at Molineux, has been at Ipswich Town, Preston North End and Chesterfield in recent years.
The Spireites let him go following an unsuccessful loan stint at Shrewsbury Town.
Bucks chief Edwards, who played with the pair at Wolves, is happy to help out his friends as they search for a new club – whether or not that turns out to be Telford.
"Sylvan trained with us in the week. He is a mate of mine," said Edwards.
"At the moment he is obviously without a football club and I want to help him to get some fitness.
"If in turn he can help us, we'll see.
"We had Joleon train with us a couple of times earlier in the season.
"It's nice to be able to pull along some mates and help them out as well."
