Rob Edwards hails AFC Telford striker Anthony Dwyer's match-winning goal
AFC Telford United boss Rob Edwards has hailed Anthony Dwyer's match-winning strike against Boston United as 'one of the best goals I have seen'.
The 20-year-old forward's stunning finish from 25 yards earned the Bucks a 2-1 home win against the Pilgrims.
That was after Telford skipper Shane Sutton scored at both ends.
On Dwyer's goal, Edwards said: "That goal, from our angle, it was honestly one of the best goals I have seen live - in the flesh.
"The strike was unbelievable. If you can, try to watch it back.
"It's obviously a great feeling for him and the timing of it as well was really important, just before half time.
"It was a goal befitting of winning any game."
The result made it four victories in a row at the New Bucks Head.
Edwards added: "I am delighted for the players because they have been working really, really hard and not getting the rub of the green in some of the games.
"It seems like they are getting that now.
"Don't get me wrong, they are having to work for it but something is starting to click and it was a good win against tough opponents.
"I thought we dealt with their threats really well and we were good value for the win."
