The Bucks have 16 fit and available after key men Shane Sutton and John Marsden suffered injuries – knee and ankle respectively.

The duo joined Jack Rea (ankle) on the sidelines while defender Ross White is set to serve a three-match ban, coming into effect next weekend, for a straight red card in the 3-2 defeat at Gainsborough Trinity on Tuesday night.

On possibly adding some new faces, Edwards said: “We’ll have to see where we are as we’re down to the bare bones.

“It’s something we are looking at and we need to keep looking at.

“Injuries, you cannot control them – Shane’s happened during a warm-up and John’s was contact.

“Suspensions are very frustrating though as they are something that you can control and avoid.

“We will see where we are, things are tight.

“It is not ideal bringing in players for a short-term basis but sometimes it is needs-must, we’ll see what happens.”

Telford welcome Southport to the New Bucks Head tomorrow, looking to extend their winning run at home to six games. The Port are managed by former England international Kevin Davies.

Ahead of the clash, Edwards has praised midfielder Jordan Lussey – who played for Southport last season after coming through the youth ranks at Liverpool.

He has scored in each of the Bucks’ last three games and is expected to start tomorrow.

“It’s good to have someone who is a goal threat from midfield, it’s a big plus,” said Edwards.

“He’s one of a number of players we have brought in and has had a really good impact for us in the games that he has played.

“He’s got a very good attitude and is always looking to improve, as all of the squad are.”

Lussey had a trial spell at Coventry City shortly before being snapped up by Telford.

He has also had spells at Bolton Wanderers and York City, and has netted four times in 13 appearances for the Bucks this campaign.

Edwards added: “Jordan got one off the bench against FC United of Manchester (in the FA Cup) and then started against both North Ferriby United and Gainsborough – and scored in both.

“I am very pleased for him, and he’s not the only one in midfield that can come up with goals.”
