Bernard McNally: Good to see AFC Telford back on track

It was great to see AFC Telford get back to winning ways on Tuesday.

Rob Edwards’s side had gone five matches without a victory – but a 2-0 win over Tamworth will give the entire team a big confidence boost.

It’s not been the best campaign for the Bucks at home. And they seem to have bursts of good results and then disappointing ones. But Edwards is working hard to try and gel a young team together.

The pleasing thing, I believe, is that everyone can see they are on the path.

Patience is a rare thing in football these days. But I think fans will accept inconsistent results if they can see that a plan is coming together.

It’s all about moving in the right direction and I think next season Telford will be a lot stronger.

They will have learnt from their sporadic form this campaign and will be able to kick on.

It’s all about that little thing called for consistency, but that only ever comes with experience.
