Long-serving AFC Telford volunteer Derek Wellings passes away
AFC Telford United have announced former volunteer, employee and life member Derek Wellings has passed away.
Mr Wellings first worked at the ground as a volunteer and supporter in 1955 and later worked in the tea hut with his wife, Ann.
He became a committee member in 1967 and, after a spell away, remained with the club until 2014.
A club statement said: "Our condolences go to Derek’s wife Ann & son Paul at this difficult time."
