John McAtee's first goal for the Bucks, coming in the first half, was the difference-maker.

Telford remain third bottom in National League North but are heading into Tuesday's home clash with Nuneaton Town (kick-off 7.45pm) in good spirits.

"It's funny how results change people's perceptions," said Edwards.

"The players did everything we asked of them and it was about winning the game and keeping a clean sheet, but we've definitely played better this year and lost.

"We've won so everyone is happy and winning is what it's all about. That's pleasing.

"There was a lot of commitment from the lads and we got the win."

He added: "FC United didn't cause too many problems, we limited them to shots from range or volleys from 20 yards.

"We managed it well. Unfortunately we didn't get that second goal but credit to the lads."
