Skipper Shane Sutton signs new deal with AFC Telford United
AFC Telford United have signed captain Shane Sutton on a new one-year deal.
Sutton signed for the Bucks from Newton last July and has been an ever-present figure in the Telford defence during the 2017/18 season.
Following the management appointment of Gavin Cowan and Phil Trainer yesterday afternoon, Cowan has moved quickly to secure the former Bucks captain as his first signing of the new campaign.
Sutton said today: “I am delighted to be signing for Telford for another year.
"As soon as Gav phoned me to say he had got the job there was no doubt in my mind that this was the place I wanted to be.
"I know many of the other lads are desperate to sign and hopefully we can continue on the form from last season with a good core of the lads remaining at the club”
Cowan and Trainer are continuing to meet players over the weekend and the club hopes to make further announcements next week.
