Bernie McNally: It’s great to see AFC Telford flying high
We’re a month into the season and AFC Telford United still haven’t lost.
Gavin Cowan and Phil Trainer deserve huge credit for the job they are doing at the New Bucks Head.
They got a point at Leamington on Monday despite not being at their best, and that is mark of a very good team.
I’m just delighted Bucks fans finally have something to shout about and really get behind because the last few years really have been tough.
Daniel Udoh has caught the eye so far, chipping in with five goals in seven games.
He got released by Crewe at the end of last season and fair play to him for going to Telford and showing what he can do.
There are a lot of players who don’t quite make the grade in the league so you have to step down in order to try to get back there.
The way he is going, Udoh should end up back at that level – and also help the Bucks to achieve their goals.
