Gavin Cowan happy with AFC Telford performance in draw
Boss Gavin Cowan believes AFC Telford United's point against Stockport County was the least they deserved.
The Bucks drew 1-1 as Henry Cowans cancelled out Connor Dimaio's strike for the visitors, right at the death.
"We were well worthy of the draw and could have nicked it, really," said Cowan, whose side are unbeaten at the New Bucks Head.
"I think Stockport would have been disappointed had we gone on and won it – but it was there for us.
"In possession, we played really well and I felt like it was coming.
"I was just disappointed not to get the winner in the end.
"In possession, they could not live with us. I thought the lads showed massive character, bouncing back brilliantly from a disappointing result.
"I'm obviously disappointed not to get the three points but the performance was definitely there."
He added: "We talk about never losing back-to-back games. We never want to lose any games but if it does end up happening, we make sure that it's not two in a row.
"I was really pleased with that. We just didn't show that conviction and belief in the final third at times.
"It's things that are in our control though and that's what I'm happy about.
"It's stuff that we can work on, we can get better – that is what it's all about for us."
