Gavin Cowan's AFC Telford had an active recovery day at Love2Stay, Chris Skitt's new clinic, in Shrewsbury

Skitt, who gave 10 years of service as physio with hometown club Shrewsbury before leaving for Ipswich last summer, opened his new Love2Stay clinic through his CSPhysiotherapy company in June.

The vast range of facilities and treatments are open to everyone, from professional athletes, amateurs and those looking to live a more healthy lifestyle.

“My aim is to really gain a sense of community within the facility and ensure we cater for everyone’s needs,” said Skitt, who splits his time between Shropshire and Suffolk.

“It is something that is hugely important to me that we try to unite the whole of Shropshire by using health, wellness and leisure.”

Yesterday, AFC Telford United boss Cowan took his charges to recover at Love2Stay in Shrewsbury.

The players recovered ahead of tonight’s big National League North clash with Hereford by using the exercise bikes, outdoor swimming pools, jacuzzis and various other machines at the high-spec centre.

“I’m delighted to be able to provide an opportunity for the players and staff at AFC Telford to come and benefit from the fantastic facilities we have here,” Skitt continued.

There are also a range of activities to keep youngsters busy and active during half term, such as zorbing and woodcraft.
