Bernard McNally: Things are looking up at AFC Telford
Ten days ago AFC Telford would have taken four points from games against York and Hereford!
The last-minute winner against York yet again showed the new-found strength and resilience that boss Gavin Cowan has instilled at the New Bucks Head.
Despite not being at their best, falling behind at times, they have bags of character because they keep pulling out results, especially at home.
Shrewsbury could do with a bit of that character and resilience at this point in time.
The Bucks are moving forward and I’m delighted to see it.
A lot of players in non-league have got ability, but it’s the mental desire and drive which you hear a lot about. If you haven’t got that then you’re going to fall below standards but Gavin raising the mentality.
Telford will be going to Alfreton with confidence, Gavin seems very pragmatic and knows if his side perform right they can get three points.
