Brendon Daniels joining AFC Telford United on a deal until the end of the season shows the club are heading in the right direction.

Getting a player of his calibre in from Port Vale, after initially impressing on loan, suggests the Bucks are going to do their utmost to seal one of those National League North play-off places.

It is a statement of intent and Daniels has certainly given the side a big boost, setting up both goals to start the new year with a 2-1 win at Nuneaton.

He chipped in with a couple of goals over his loan spell as well and is a dead-ball specialist.

The 25-year-old ticks a lot of boxes and, being able to chip in with goals and assists from midfield, he could well be the final piece of the puzzle.

Gavin Cowan has lifted spirits in his first season as a manager, which I am so pleased about, and things are very much on the up again at the New Bucks Head.

It is a big club and they are getting back in that limelight, where they should be.

The Bucks have done tremendously well to start 2019 firmly in the play-offs and hopefully, they can continue in the same vein.

It is a relentless division, but this team seems to have the character to stay the pace.
