Bernard McNally: Momentum building for AFC Telford at New Bucks Head

The momentum just keeps on building for AFC Telford United – it has been that snowball effect.

Amari Morgan Smith of AFC Telford celebrates after scoring to make it 1-0.

They are putting in superb performances and picking up results week in, week out. Their latest victim was Hartlepool in the FA Trophy, coming away with a 2-1 success.

That’s a big club to beat and, make no mistake, trips to the North East are never easy.

The Bucks have got another one coming up in the last 16 at Spennymoor, but I do not think they’ll be fazed by it at all.

Gavin Cowan’s side have logged a fair few miles already this season and, in the main, stood up to the test.

Telford are determined to put themselves back on the map again and they are certainly going the right way about it.

And it’s great to see Gavin and his assistant Phil Trainer enjoying such success as they are proper football people who love the club. That passion has filtered through to the players.
