Fans give AFC Telford time to prepare for Trophy
AFC Telford United will be able to give themselves the best preparation possible for their FA Trophy last-16 tie at Spennymoor Town – thanks to a donation from the supporters’ association.
The Bucks face their National League North rivals on Saturday, February 2, having already beaten them twice this season.
A third victory over the Moors would put them two rounds from Wembley in a competition won three times by the previous incarnation of the club, Telford United.
And with Spennymoor a 394-mile round trip, fans of the Bucks have dipped their hands in their pockets to make sure Gavin Cowan’s charges can stop over for the night.
Telford tweeted: “THANK YOU: AFC Telford United would like to thank everyone connected to @TUSA2017 for their extremely generous gift of £600.00 which will enable the first team squad to stop over in Spennymoor on Friday evening ahead of the FA Trophy clash next weekend.”
